Departure Procedures

Thank You!

We appreciate you choosing to stay with us in beautiful New Buffalo—we sincerely hope you enjoyed your getaway! As you prepare to depart, please follow these simple steps to ensure a smooth check-out.

Gather Your Belongings

Before you leave, please take a moment to ensure you haven't forgotten anything. Check under the beds, inside drawers, and in the laundry area if you used it. Also, please remove any perishable items from the refrigerator. If you accidentally leave behind something important, let us know right away—we'll do our best to help you retrieve it.

Leave the Space Tidy

Beds: Strip any used beds and place the bedding on the floor at the foot of each bed.
Towels & Robes: Gather dirty towels and robes; place them in the provided laundry hamper.
Furniture: Return any moved furniture to its original position.
Coffee Maker: Clean out the coffee maker.
Dishes: Load any dirty dishes into the dishwasher.
Trash: Pick up any trash, and if the kitchen trash is full, please take it out to the bin.

Secure the Home

Windows & Shades: Close all windows and draw down the shades.
Lights, Thermostats, & Electronics: Turn off all lights and TVs, set the thermostats to 68-69°F, and ensure all electronics are powered down.
Hot Tub: Leave the hot tub lid securely shut.
Doors: Ensure all house doors are locked.
eBikes: If you rented eBikes, return them to the garage, plug them in to charge, and secure and lock the garage doors.

Exiting the Driveway Safely

Blind Curve Alert:
When pulling out, note that there's a blind curve to the left—especially when the trees are in full foliage.
Recommended Exit Strategy:
Turn around and exit by driving forward for better visibility.
Safety Check:
Roll both windows down and look both ways twice before proceeding.
